5 star staff! The experience was wonderful. The welcome drink (not exactly to our taste but was nice to sample), the photos while entering, the ambience (the decor, background music, staff moving around with a bounce in their step), the tiny envelop with a note celebrating our special day, the staff that were welcoming and attentive but not disruptive to our dinner conversation (again they were wonderful), and the food presentation... all 5 star. But we left hungry. The food was flavorful and delicious, but there was so little. Two appetizers and a main dish, for me amounted to a couple bites. There were way too many dessert dishes I usually by principle finish everything, but I was sugared out by the end of the meal to avoid wasting food . My significant other, who doesn't nearly have the appetite I do, was surprisingly hungry as well. We extended our street parking time and walked down the street and had ramen immediately afterwards. Biggest disappointment on the night, was actually today. That box that you are told not to open, open it right away! 2 days later, we opened our boxes to find a soggy and slight sour smelling wagyu burgers. So sad! The burger is the size of the two appetizers and entree! (I was tempted to eat it and not waste because of principle, but my significant other reasoned with me to let it go). Enjoying the burger, while sitting in our car across the street, probably would have saved the overall dinner experience. Lovely experience, hungry when we left, but missed our chance to rectify everything by eating a crucial part of the meal hidden in a beautiful box.

Absolutely remarkable. This is by far one of my favorite restaurants in DC. The staff was great, attentive, and very informative on the many dishes. No doubt it's pricey, but you get what you pay for. It's truly an amazing experience. The food ingredient combinations were fascinating and the flavor was out of this world. I highly recommend enjoying their libations as well, they were top notch. I enjoyed the ambience, it's lively well lit, and fun; this was surprising, as the majority of Michelin restaurants I've visited were darker and a more subdued atmosphere. We loved and will be back

The folks that run this restaurant are nothing but class!! We had a reservation we had to cancel in celebration of my wife's 50th. The client service director, Lea, was very kind and asked where we were going to dine instead. When we arrived at the other restaurant, crèment and all kinds of little amuse bouches "complements of the Roses Restaurant Group" were brought to our table by ANOTHER COMPETING RESTAURANT!! Cannot say enough about these classy folks!! We have eaten at Roses before and food is out of this world.

Our experience here was phenomenal! We arrived and were warmly greeted. Everyone in the restaurant is so friendly and excited to have you there. We were at the chef's counter and it truly was an honor to see such a thoughtful staff working hard throughout the night. We sat down and received a thorough guidance from our waiter on the menu. It was very helpful to have his insights. Ian was my absolute favorite! I adored him in every way! He was so witty and entertaining during the entire night. The food was creative, unique, and delicious to the taste. There were so many food highlights, but the gnocchi was clearly handled with so much love while it was made. We opted for the zero proof pairing with the meal and it stole the show! The mixed drinks that came with each dish were so good. If I could have one thing at my last meal on earth, it would be the seedlip gin avocado drink. It. Was. Phenomenal. The Jell-O shot, butter popcorn frozen yogurt, and pancakes were cute, but the flavorings and necessity were not there for me. They did not add much to the meal unfortunately in flavor. The true only downfall of the evening was the rush of our last course. Four items were all brought out at the exact same time. It felt overcrowded and chaotic. We received the pancakes, crème brûlée, Manila dessert, and donut all at once as multiple waiters brought everything out. It was overwhelming and I did not feel like it allowed me to appreciate each option individually. Also, by the time that I got to the doughnut, it was no longer warm which was a bummer. If I could change one thing, it would have been this process because it felt like they needed our seats and we did not have time to enjoy the final courses. As we left the restaurant, the hostess lost my friend's jacket so we waited around for sometime as she brought out every single jacket other than my friend's. Finally, my friend snuck behind the scenes and realized her jacket was on the floor where the hostess could not see. We were so glad that we were able to find it before heading out to the cold, rain, and wind. Overall, it was great! Thank you pineapple and pearls for allowing us to have a wonderful time.

Highly recommend! This is my first Michelin star experience and I would say it is so far the most fun dining experience I've had. It is truly a party! We walked in with a wine glass, sat at the chefs table to watch the dishes being made - every plate is carefully curated, beautiful, and delicious! On top of the meal itself, we got some yummy dessert, a cute photo, and a wagyu burger to take home in a fancy box!

A wonderful 2-star Michelin experience. We were here for a birthday dinner so we can the restaurant to ourselves. Everyone in the staff was so hospitable and friendly. The drinks are good and being able to sit at the bar and chat is a nice touch. The interior is cute and quirky with lots of cool designs and trinkets. The space itself is small but very intimate. The food itself was executed cleanly and well done. Each dish has a story that's interesting to hear. My favorite dish was actually the dessert with ube and pineapple. The lasagna was also good but I thought it was a bit too acidic. While we weren't able to order the Mocktail pairing, they are very open to giving non-alcoholic substitutions for the meal. Definitely recommend coming here to experience a fancy but fun dinner!

There aren't the right words to describe our experience at P&P. When I think about my favorite dining experiences, this one takes the cake. From the neon lights, velvet, bubbles, music, to the absinthe fountain upon arrival, every detail has been curated with excitement and pleasure in mind. Say goodbye to the "four hour tasting parade to the chef". Say hello to a new kind of experience where pleasure is valued over perfection. ITS TRULY A PARTY. Every night. You just happen to get an amazing meal while you are there. Everything is opulent and there are surprises around every corner like being handcuffed to a chair, buttered popcorn soft serve ice cream, truffle infused amaretto, and a caviar, gummy bear sundae bar. Oh, and just when you think you're done being surprised, wait until you get your parting gift. The most decadent midnight snack to close out this memory of a meal.

This is a fine dining restaurant. Service, Quality, Food were all simply beautiful This is definitely worth the hype and every 5 star is has ever received. If you've never been to a Michelin reviewed restaurant, it will be unlike any regular restaurant you've ever been to. I was a bit skeptical. But the experience and food is definitely worth returning to. We enjoyed every single one of our dishes and the little surprises in between from the chef. Our dishes included our first round of appetizers which were the Raw Tuna & Watermelon, and Lamb. Second round of appetizers included Gnocchi and Five cheese ravioli (maybe it was 4 I can't remember) Entrees were Coffee - Parmesan Risotto & Wagyu that was literally melt in your mouth. Dessert - I've never tasted anything more beautiful than the Creme Brûlée donut with the pear sorbet. The only complaint I have is that the music was a bit loud and the chefs, & waiters are a bit soft spoken so we missed a lot of what was described in what we were eating. However, great music selection. Our mouths were very happy when we left!
